Learn more about SeaWind Aviation - Ketchikan Alaska's family friendly Misty Fjords, Alaska bear viewing and Alaska flightseeing tour operatorSeaWind Aviation is an Alaskan family operation committed to providing the finest Alaska flightseeing, Misty Fjords, and Alaska bear viewing tours in the state’s magnificent Southeast panhandle.

Steve Kamm was born and raised in Ketchikan Alaska. He has more than 20 years of experience flying commercially for the largest air taxis in Southeast Alaska and has logged more than 19,000 hours of commercial flight time in seaplanes.

Steve is a second-generation Alaskan pilot. He gets his love of flying from his father, Cliff Kamm, who logged approximately 40 years of safe commercial flying in this region, in both seaplanes and helicopters.

Steve's great grandfather, E.C. Phillips came to Ketchikan in 1926 from Grimsby Island, England. He worked on the Ketchikan cold storage dock before founding his own fish processing plant, E.C. Phillips and Son, in 1950.  E.C. Phillips and Son is still going strong today as it serves the fish processing needs for all Ketchikan fishermen.

Lesley Kamm runs SeaWind Aviation's ground operations, reservations and marketing. She is also a mother to 3 little girls, Kendall 5, Shelby 3-1/2, and Stevie 1-1/2.

We are also proud to add a longtime friend and co-worker to our operation in 2008. Jimmy Vreeland has been flying in Ketchikan since moving here 30 years ago. Jimmy has 23000 hours flying floatplanes in Southeast Alaska. He was born and raised in the Finger Lakes area of New York state and started his flying career in Ely, Minnesota before moving to Ketchikan.
